Marque Ventures Signs SVDG Letter in Support of DIU
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 24, 2023 — Marque Ventures, the defense-focused venture capital firm, alongside over 60 other leading investors and technology companies, has signed a letter encouraging Congress to maintain support for the Defense Innovation Unit in the FY24 National Defense Authorization Act.
Jake Chapman, Managing Director at Marque Ventures, signed the letter sponsored by the Silicon Valley Defense Group (SVDG) on behalf of the firm to emphasize the critical importance of continuing to fund the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) in the FY24 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
According to SVDG, the letter, “specifically applauds provisions in the House-passed FY24 NDAA to elevate DIU’s reporting structure, codify its authorities and responsibilities, and authorize the establishment of a hedge portfolio, called the Non-Traditional Innovation Fielding Enterprise (NIFE).”
